Welcome to Beach Competitions! We run exciting prize competitions that give you a chance to win amazing prizes. Please read these Terms & Conditions carefully before entering. By participating, you agree to be bound by these terms.

1. Promoter Information

1.1. The promoter is Beach Competitions Limited, (Company No. 16239340), registered at: St Annes Beach Hut Office, The Island, South Promenade, Lytham St Annes, Lancashire, UK, FY8 1LS.

2. How Our Competitions Work

2.1. These Terms apply to all competitions listed on our website at www.beachcompetitions.co.uk

2.2. Each competition requires entrants to answer a skill-based question. Only entries with correct answers are eligible to win.

2.3. Entry fees apply per entry, but a free entry route is available (see Section 3.7).

2.4. Competitions run for a fixed period, as stated on our website.

2.5. All entrants, whether paid or free, have an equal chance of winning.

3. How to Enter

3.1. Competitions open and close on the dates specified on the website. All times are London, UK time.

3.2. We may amend dates only in exceptional circumstances but will never extend a competition solely to sell more entries.

3.3. All entries must be received before the closing date. Late entries will be disqualified without a refund.

3.4. Competitions have a maximum entry limit. Once reached, no further entries (paid or free) will be accepted.

3.5. Entrants may enter multiple times, up to the limit per competition.

3.6. Paid Entry Route

To enter via paid entry, follow these steps:

  • Create an account on www.beachcompetitions.co.uk.
  • Select the competition you wish to enter.
  • Answer the skill-based competition question.
  • Choose the number of entries and complete payment.
  • You will receive a ticket number via email.

3.7. Free Entry Route

Entrants can enter for free by post, following these conditions:

Send a first or second class postcard to: Beach Competitions, St Annes Beach Hut Office, The Island, South Promenade, Lytham St Annes, Lancashire, UK, FY8 1LS.

  • Include the following information clearly handwritten or typed:
  • Your full name
  • Your full address
  • A contact telephone number and email address
  • The exact title of the competition you wish to enter
  • Your answer to the competition question (if applicable)

Important Rules for Free Entries:

  • Each free entry must be submitted separately in its own stamped and addressed envelope or postcard.
  • Bulk entries in one envelope will not be accepted. If multiple entries are sent in one envelope, they will be counted as one single entry.
  • Only one free entry per person per competition is allowed.
  • Free entries must be received by the Promoter at least 48 hours before the closing date. Late entries will not be entered into the draw.
  • Entrants must have a valid Beach Competitions account with matching details to their postal entry. Incomplete or mismatched details will result in disqualification.
  • The Promoter will not acknowledge receipt of free entries, but entrants can check their entry status via their online account.

4. Winner Selection & Prize Information

4.1. All correct entries (both paid and free) are entered into a random draw.

4.2. The draw takes place within 7 days of the closing date using an independent third-party random selection tool.

4.3. Winners will be contacted via email or phone. Winners must respond within 7 days of notification to claim their prize. Failure to respond within this period will result in forfeiture, and the prize may be awarded to the next eligible entrant.

4.4. Prizes that include accommodation or leisure experiences are only valid for the specific dates advertised and cannot be rescheduled. If a winner is unable to attend on these dates, the prize will be forfeited and may be awarded to another entrant.

4.5. Prize descriptions are available on our website. If a prize becomes unavailable, a cash alternative of equal value may be provided at our discretion. Prizes that involve specific date-based experiences (e.g., accommodation or event tickets) do not have a cash alternative unless explicitly stated.

4.6. Prizes are non-transferable and cannot be exchanged.

4.7. We will only publish winners’ first name and abbreviated surname if they consent.

5. Eligibility

5.1. Competitions are open to UK residents aged 18+.

5.2. The following individuals cannot enter:

• Employees of Beach Competitions Limited.

• Employees of suppliers or agents involved with the competition.

• Immediate family or household members of the above.

5.3. The Promoter may request proof of eligibility before awarding a prize.

5.4. Automated, bulk, or fraudulent entries will be disqualified.

5.5. We reserve the right to disqualify entrants for fraudulent activity, hacking, or abusive behaviour towards our team.

6. Payments, Refunds & Chargebacks

6.1. All entry fees must be paid in full before entries are confirmed.

6.2. Refunds will only be given in the following cases:

    • Duplicate payments.
    • System errors.
    • If a competition is cancelled.

6.3. If a competition is cancelled, entrants can choose a refund or store credit for future competitions.

6.4. Chargeback Policy:

    • If you dispute a valid payment (chargeback), we may suspend or terminate your account.
    • We may seek to recover the chargeback amount and associated costs.

7. Privacy & GDPR Compliance

7.1. We collect personal data (name, email, phone) to process competition entries.

7.2. Your data will not be shared with third parties for marketing.

7.3. You can request data deletion after a competition ends by contacting info@beachcompetitions.co.uk.

8. Legal Jurisdiction & Final Clauses

8.1. These competitions are governed by English law.

8.2. By entering, you confirm that your participation is lawful in your country of residence.

8.3. Some prizes may include experiences at specific locations. Beach Competitions operates independently and is not affiliated with any third-party brands mentioned in other prizes.

8.4. In exceptional cases we may extend a competition, but only in line with regulatory guidelines.

8.5. The Promoter’s decision on all matters relating to the competition is final.
